SOCIETY OF BLACK SOLAR PROFESSIONALS

ABOUT

In 2018, Black people made up 12.1% of the United States' total workforce, but only 7.6% percent of the solar industry's workforce. These numbers are even lower in positions of leadership. Black voices need to be at the table to equitably progress the industry and its impact.

The Society of Black Solar Professionals exists to foster a supportive community among Black people in the industry and to help Black people begin and advance their careers in solar. We are a member-based organization providing resources to achieve our mission: to increase the representation and retention of Black people in the solar industry.
