At Society of Black Solar Professionals, our mission is to increase the retention and representation of Black people in the solar industry. These programs will help us achieve our mission by providing resources and developing community.
SBSP UNIVERSITY
A library of educational content with the purpose of teaching young professionals about solar and what different careers in the industry could look like.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS
Quarterly workshops designed to provide Black people in solar with professional development skills to advance their careers.
MENTAL HEALTH WORKSHOPS
Mental health impacts every aspect of our lives from how we to sleep to how well we focus during the day. These workshops will focus on skills that will support members in prioritizing mental health through out the work day.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
The community development program will be centered on building connections and networks among Black people in solar. Having a sense of belonging is an important consideration for people advancing in their careers. SBSP will help foster this community through quarterly networking events.
